All scout groups are indepedent chairties within the federated structure of the Scout Association.
The Group Trustee Board plays an important role in the running of the Group. The Board makes decisions and carries out administrative tasks to make sure that the best quality Scouting can be delivered to young people in the Group.
Membership of the Board is set up in a way that ensures the interests of the Group and the Group Lead Volunteer are represented and balanced. It also ensures a broad membership.
Members of the Trustee Board act collectively as charity trustees of the Group Scout Council, and in the best interests of the charity.
Richard chairs the Group Trustee Board, making sure that it fulfils its responsibilities with the Group. He works closely with Bryan, the Group Lead Volunteer to achieve the purpose of the Scout Association and the development of local Scouting, in accordance with the policy, organisation and rules of the Scout Association.
Bryan provides overall leadership and management to the Group and to support Section Team Leads and other members of the Group Team. He ensures the Group runs efficiently, effectively and safely, and that Scouting develops in accordance to the rules and policies of the Scout Association.
Katie keeps us right on all things financial. She provides financial administration, support and information to the Trustee Board and Group in accordance with the rules and policies of the Scout Association and our legal obligations under the Charity Commission.
The Secretary supports the Trustee Board, ensuring the smooth functioning and sound administration of the Group in accordance with the Policy, Organisation and Rules of the Scout Association.
Chris contributes to the running of the Group by providing administrative support, strategic direction, compliance with relevant legislation and completion of the duties set out in the Scout Association’s policy, organisation and rules. He is also the Scout Section Team Lead.
Kath contributes to the running of the Group by providing administrative support, strategic direction, compliance with relevant legislation and completion of the duties set out in the Scout Association’s policy, organisation and rules.
Richard contributes to the running of the Group by providing administrative support, strategic direction, compliance with relevant legislation and completion of the duties set out in the Scout Association’s policy, organisation and rules. He is also the Cub Section Team Lead.
Marie contributes to the running of the Group by providing administrative support, strategic direction, compliance with relevant legislation and completion of the duties set out in the Scout Association’s policy, organisation and rules. She is also the Beaver Section Team Lead.
Nick contributes to the running of the Group by providing administrative support, strategic direction, compliance with relevant legislation and completion of the duties set out in the Scout Association’s policy, organisation and rules.
